TURTLES BY

TURTLES

These reptiles are characterized by having a hard shell, which protects them.
They live in tropical or temperate, most species are adapted to freshwater habitats, terrestrial or marine life.
The turtles have widely varying sizes, from small turtles of about 12-16 cm in length, until gigantic.
Although there are few species of turtles that can be treated strictly herbivore or carnivorous, some species that live inland prefer to feed on vegetation, while aquatic species are basically carnivorous. All turtles put eggs, which they bury in holes. All turtles, including marine deposit eggs on land. Some species live for more than 100 years.
